Australian History: Apple II Released

The Apple II was indeed the next model up from the lesser known Apple I. The Apple II was released in Australia in 1977, capable of a colour display and coming standard with 4 Kilobytes of RAM (Upgradeable to 12 Kilobytes of RAM with extra 4K chips).
The success of the Apple II may be due to the compact size, which could easily be described as a "PC - Personal Computer" before IBM had released their first computer giving rise to the PC abbreviation.
